After living in Barcelona for the last few years, I’ve had the chance to explore and find the best rooftops around the city. Unsurprisingly, hitting a rooftop for a drink before dinner or a night out has become normal among my crew of friends – we’re always on the hunt for new ones!
Whether it’s for a special occasion, a romantic evening out, or a night out with friends, these rooftops are perfect for enjoying panoramic views of the city while tasting excellent food and good company.
In this post, I’m sharing my list of 23 of the best rooftop bars in Barcelona with a view that will take your breath away!
Keep in mind that many of the bars are in hotels, but you don’t have to stay in the hotels to visit or make reservations!
Best Rooftop Bars in Barcelona
1. The Rooftop at Serras
If you’re on the hunt for a chill rooftop right near the sea, look no further than Serras Barcelona. This 5-star luxury hotel also has a stunning pool, incredible views, and classic drinks. During beach season, which is undeniably longer than just the summer (about June to September) I love to venture here after a relaxing morning by the sea.
The food is also so good so you’re really not going to want to miss this spot. Start with a cocktail then meander to the beach or old town, the options are endless!
📍Location: Pg. de Colom, 9, Ciutat Vella, 08002 Barcelona, Spain
2. The Pulitzer Terrace (Pulitzer Hotel)
When visiting Plaza Catalunya or Las Ramblas, make sure to stop by the rooftop of the Pulitzer Hotel for a reprieve from the busy area below. And trust, me Las Ramblas gets busy.
The terrace offers a cool and breezy environment with some incredibly tasty cocktails and dishes. Weekdays tend to be a bit more relaxed while you can expect to find DJs or live music on the weekends and plenty of folks ready to dance their way through Barcelona at night.
📍Location: C/ de Bergara, 8, L’Eixample, 08002 Barcelona, Spain
3. Sir Victor Hotel Rooftop Bar
Sir Victor rooftop is one of my favorite rooftops in the city and the one I tend to take first dates to. The proximity to Passeig de Gracia allows for sneaky views of Gaudi works from the rooftop.
The environment is chic and cozy, creating the ideal atmosphere for warm conversations with friends or that special someone.
If you like espresso martinis, you’re not going to want to miss out on theirs. I’ve had a surprisingly hard time finding the perfect espresso martini in Barcelona, but this one does not disappoint! I find myself returning here for this martini alone.
To avoid getting stuck waiting hours or turned away, I recommend making a reservation at this popular hotel rooftop ahead of time, especially if you’re visiting over the weekend.
📍Location: C/ del Rosselló, 265, L’Eixample, 08008 Barcelona, Spain
4. Panoramic Terrace Hotel Colon Barcelona
Hotel Colon is one of the best hotels in Barcelona and the terrace above is just as great. This is a must do for an insane view of the cathedral (note: not Sagrada) as it’s located right near Gothic Quarter.
The terrace is quite popular and it’s not uncommon to have a line, though it does move quite quickly. So just leave a few extra minutes in case you do have to wait a little.
This isn’t just great views, this is one of the best bars in Barcelona. You can expect delicious cocktails and light bites with one of the best bird’s eye views of the city at the Hotel Colón rooftop bar.
📍Location: Av. de la Catedral, 7, Ciutat Vella, 08002 Barcelona, Spain
5. H10 Casa Mimosa
If you find yourself in Eixample after a busy day trip or sightseeing, don’t miss the rooftop of H10 Casa Mimosa. With a name including Mimosa House, you’re sure to be in for a fun evening of sips
The terrace is beautiful and offers a birds eye view to Casa Mila (one of Gaudi’s works). The entire atmosphere is cozy, and includes some of the friendliest staff. Plus, it’s in an unbeatable location.
If you’re in the market for a hotel on your visit to Barcelona, H10 Casa Mimosa is a great option that I often recommend to friends.

7. Chalet El Palace Rooftop Garden (El Palace Hotel)
The Rooftop Garden at the top of the El Palace Hotel, is another Eixample gem overlooking beautiful Barcelona. The moment you walk inside the El Palace Hotel, you’ll immediately be transported into a world of magnificence.
The terrace atop is incredibly charming and offers great cocktails and typical dishes. I love coming here for happy hours or for sunset, when the orange-colored sky is perfect for golden hour photos!
According to my credible sources, many who live in the Eixample neighborhood, aka other expats in a relatively small city, Barack Obama stayed at the El Palace Hotel during his recent visit to Barcelona. Do with this information what you will!

11. Nobu Hotel
Nobu Hotel is conveniently located in Sants, right near Sants Estacio. The pool on the roof is one of my favorites (and fun fact: the highest!) in all of Barcelona.
The views are just as good. Since it’s not quite in the center of the city, the views are a bit different, but still impeccable.
The atmosphere is certainly upscale with the restaurant serving a hip Japanese menu. If you’re in the mood for sushi and views, than look no further!

The Sagrada Familia is stunning in its own right - it's the most visited place in Barcelona because of it! But it makes for an even better backdrop on a rooftop. You could not be any more up front and personal than at this rooftop.

I can’t rave enough about the tasting menu here. You will come for the views but stay for the food. It's worth visiting for the food alone.
The food on this menu is more than what’s typically offered at rooftops, but is a proper fine dining experience. Enjoy classics like risotto or lobster canelon. This is definitely a hidden gem!

17. 83.3 Terrace Bar - Hotel Royal Passeig de Gràcia
83.3 Terrace Bar is located on the roof of Hotel Royal Passeig de Gracia and should be at the top of your rooftop bar tour.
The vibe is fantastic, the food is incredible, and the views extend as far as the eye can see.
It's arguably one of the best rooftop restaurants Barcelona has to offer. I never leave here without a classic croquetas dish. They're known for their street food, so it a plate of nachos or tacos never hurts either.

Summary of the Best Rooftop Bars in Barcelona
Visiting some of the Barcelona rooftop restaurants and bars is one of my favorite activities to do when I have friends visiting from the states.
We often start in the early afternoon to maximize golden hour and photo opportunities with fantastic views. We sip on aperol or espresso martinis, snack on olives and croquettes, and bask in our surroundings.
Another favorite rooftop activity involves taking my dates there as I try to navigate the dumpster fire that is online dating, but that’s another story for another time!
